# AiStreamingMessageType

What a streamed piece of an interaction run is.

**Kind:** a string enum, used in responses.

## Values

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `"Chat"` | Text of the agent's reply, as the model writes it. |
| `"Function"` | The label of a tool the agent is calling. |

New values can appear, so treat one you don't know as "something else", not as an error.
