# BuildAuthenticationMethod

How the caller of a recorded build authenticated.

**Kind:** a string enum, used in responses.

## Values

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `"Bearer"` | A signed-in session's bearer token (the portal, or `mt` after `api-login`). |
| `"ApiKey"` | An API key (`apiKeyId` names which; the secret is never recorded). |

New values can appear, so treat one you don't know as "something else", not as an error.
