# BuildRecordDiagnostic

One entry of a recorded build's log: the same fields, under the same names, as the `CompilationLogEntry` the build returned.

**Kind:** an object, used in responses.

## Fields

Every field is present in a response; empty ones are `null`.

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `text` | `string` | The message, at most 2,000 characters (a longer one is cut and `diagnosticsTruncated` set). |
| `date` | `datetime` | When the message was written, in UTC. |
| `logLevel` | [`CompilationLogLevel`](https://docs.maitento.com/reference/types/compilation-log-level.md) | How serious the message is. |
| `filename` | `string \| null` | The file the message is about; null when it is about the build as a whole. |
| `lineNumber` | `integer \| null` | The line in the file the message is about, when known. |
| `character` | `integer \| null` | The character in the line the message is about, when known. |
