# BuildRecordValidationFailure

Why a `Rejected` build was refused: one entry of the 400's `validationFailures`.

**Kind:** an object, used in responses.

## Fields

Every field is present in a response; empty ones are `null`.

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `errorCode` | `string` | A stable code for the failure. Branch on this, not on the message. |
| `memberName` | `string` | The request field the failure is about, when there is one. |
| `message` | `string` | What was wrong, in English, at most 500 characters. |
