# CodeEngineType

The coding tool (engine) that drives a code pipeline agent, and so which provider's model key it uses.

**Kind:** a string enum, used in requests and responses.

## Values

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `"Claude"` | Claude Code, with an Anthropic key. |
| `"Kimi"` | Kimi's coding CLI, with a Kimi (Moonshot) key. |
| `"Codex"` | OpenAI's Codex CLI, with an OpenAI key. |
| `"DeepSeek"` | The Codex CLI, pointed at DeepSeek, with a DeepSeek key. |
| `"Gemini"` | Gemini CLI, with a Gemini key. |
| `"Qwen"` | Qwen Code, with a Qwen key. |
| `"Glm"` | The Codex CLI, pointed at GLM (Z.ai), with a GLM key. |
| `"CustomAnthropic"` | Your own Anthropic Messages-compatible endpoint, driven by Claude Code. |
| `"CustomOpenAiResponses"` | Your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint that implements the Responses API, driven by the Codex CLI. |
| `"CustomOpenAiChat"` | Your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint with chat completions only, driven by Qwen Code. |

New values can appear, so treat one you don't know as "something else", not as an error.
