# CodePipelineStepExecutionStatus

Where a step of a code pipeline run is.

**Kind:** a string enum, used in responses.

## Values

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `"NotStarted"` | The step hasn't started. |
| `"RunningPreHook"` | The step's `preHook` is running. |
| `"Running"` | The agent is working on the step. |
| `"RunningPostHook"` | The step's `postHook` is running. |
| `"Finished"` | The step finished. |
| `"Error"` | The step failed. |
| `"Skipped"` | The step was skipped, for example by its `onFailHook`. |
| `"PreviousCompleted"` | Not currently set. |
| `"HumanInteractionRequired"` | The agent asked a person a question and the step is waiting for the answer. |
| `"HumanInteractionComplete"` | Not currently set for a step. |

New values can appear, so treat one you don't know as "something else", not as an error.
