# DecayRate

How quickly a thread frays each time it is put in front of an agent and goes unused. Only disuse frays a thread, never the passing of time.

**Kind:** a string enum, used in requests and responses.

## Values

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `"Normal"` | The usual rate: the default for episodes and reflections. |
| `"Never"` | Never frays: warp threads and intentions. |
| `"Slow"` | Half the usual rate: the default for facts and how-tos. |
| `"Fast"` | Twice the usual rate. |

New values can appear, so treat one you don't know as "something else", not as an error.
