# IngestedFileIndexingFailure

Why a file cannot be indexed (made searchable) until someone acts: no embedding key for its knowledge base's provider, or every key failed. Maitento keeps retrying, so fixing the cause (adding a model key, say) indexes the file and clears this.

**Kind:** an object, used in responses.

## Fields

Every field is present in a response; empty ones are `null`.

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `code` | `string` | The stable code: `api:embeddings:fallback-not-permitted` (no key, and Maitento's own may not be used) or `api:embeddings:credentials-exhausted` (every key failed). |
| `message` | `string` | What is wrong and how to fix it, for a person. |
| `dateFailed` | `datetime` | When it was first recorded for the file's current content. |

## Example

```json
{
  "code": "...",
  "message": "...",
  "dateFailed": "2026-10-26T12:00:00.0000000Z"
}
```
