# PartitionEmbeddingCredentialFailure

A failure recorded against one of a partition's embedding keys. A key with an `Auth` failure is skipped by later embeddings until the partition's credentials are set again, which clears these. Read them to tell your admins which key needs fixing.

**Kind:** an object, used in responses.

## Fields

Every field is present in a response; empty ones are `null`.

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `credentialId` | `string` | The `credentialId` of the key that failed. |
| `failureReason` | `string` | What went wrong: `Auth`, `Endpoint`, `RateLimit` or `Quota`. |
| `detail` | `string \| null` | The provider's error detail, when there is one. |
| `dateUtc` | `datetime` | When the failure was recorded (UTC). |
| `reported` | `boolean` | True once the partition's failures have been acknowledged. The failure stays in the list, and the key stays skipped, but the partition no longer appears in `GET /partitions/embedding-credential-failures`. |

## Example

```json
{
  "credentialId": "...",
  "failureReason": "...",
  "detail": "...",
  "dateUtc": "2026-10-26T12:00:00.0000000Z",
  "reported": false
}
```
