# PendingToolCallApproval

A tool call waiting for a person's approval before it runs. Approve or reject it by its `id`.

**Kind:** an object, used in responses.

## Fields

Every field is present in a response; empty ones are `null`.

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `id` | `uuid` | The approval's id: pass it as `toolCallApprovalId` to approve or reject the call. |
| `functionName` | `string` | The name of the tool the agent called. |
| `argumentsJson` | `string` | The arguments the agent gave, as JSON text. |
| `toolCallId` | `string` | The model's id for the call. |
| `dateRequested` | `datetime` | When approval was asked for (UTC). |
| `status` | [`PendingToolCallApprovalStatus`](https://docs.maitento.com/reference/types/pending-tool-call-approval-status.md) | Whether the call is still waiting, or was approved or rejected. |
| `agentId` | `uuid \| null` | The id of the agent that made the call. The approved call runs with that agent's tools. |
| `agentName` | `string \| null` | The name of the participant that made the call. |
