# ProcessState

The group a run's status falls into, the same for all four kinds of run, so one filter ("show me what is waiting on a person") works across them even though each kind names its statuses differently.

**Kind:** a string enum, used in responses.

## Values

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `"Active"` | Queued or executing: `New`, `Running`. |
| `"Waiting"` | Alive but waiting on something outside itself: a person, an approval, a resume, a pause. |
| `"Terminal"` | Ended for good: `Finished`, `Error`, `Killed`. |

New values can appear, so treat one you don't know as "something else", not as an error.
