# ThreadProvenanceKind

How a thread came from another loom.

**Kind:** a string enum, used in responses.

## Values

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `"Gift"` | Given by another agent in the same conversation (with its `LoomGive` tool), or through the API. |
| `"Inheritance"` | Copied in when the loom was seeded from another loom. |

New values can appear, so treat one you don't know as "something else", not as an error.
