PartitionEmbeddingIndexStatus
Where a partition’s embedding index is: ready, being rebuilt, or stopped on a failure.
Kind: a string enum, used in responses.
Values
Section titled “Values”| Value | Description |
|---|---|
"Ready" | Every file is embedded with the partition’s current profile; search is served. |
"Reindexing" | The partition’s profile changed and its files are being embedded again. Search is refused until this finishes, because a half-built index would answer from whichever files happen to be done, and the profile cannot be changed again until it finishes or fails. |
"Failed" | The re-index stopped on a problem a person must fix (every key failed with no consent to fall back, or preparing it kept failing). Search stays refused. Setting different credentials or consent resumes it, and so does sending the same profile again with allowReindex true; files already embedded stay done. Only a profile that needs a different index starts a new re-index. |
New values can appear, so treat one you don’t know as “something else”, not as an error.
